This Privacy Policy explains what information SwapIt ("we," "us," "the Platform") collects when you use our cashless barter platform, how we use it, and the choices you have — including how to delete your data.

By using SwapIt, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

• Account information: your email address, display name, profile photo, and location (city/country) when you sign up or sign in with Google.
• Listings: photos, descriptions, categories, and details of items, services, skills, or experiences you offer or request.
• Messages: the content of messages you exchange with other users, including translations you request.
• Activity data: trades, proposals, reviews, feedback submissions, and listing view counts.
• Payment data: if you donate, your payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

• To operate the Platform and show your listings to other users.
• To facilitate communication and trades between users.
• To send notifications about account activity, such as new messages.
• To improve safety, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service.
• To respond to feedback and support requests.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Your data is stored on secure cloud servers with encryption in transit and access controls. Photos you upload are stored in private storage and shared only through time-limited links.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

SwapIt relies on a small number of trusted providers:

• Google: for optional sign-in and AI features such as listing image generation and message translation.
• Stripe: for processing optional donations.
• Cloud hosting providers: for database, storage, and email delivery.

These providers process data only as needed to deliver their services to us.

SwapIt uses essential browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences (such as language). We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand overall usage — never to build advertising profiles.

You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard. Deletion is under your control and does not require contacting us first.

When you confirm deletion, your profile and listings are hidden immediately and your account enters a 30-day grace period. If you sign back in during those 30 days you can cancel and restore everything. After 30 days the data is erased automatically:

• Your profile, display name, photo, and location are permanently removed.
• Your listings and uploaded photos are permanently removed.
• Your messages are removed from conversations.

Some records may be retained where necessary:

• Records of completed trades and reviews may be kept in anonymized form to protect the integrity of the trust system.
• Donation records may be retained as required for tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations.
• Backup copies are deleted on a rolling schedule, typically within 30 days.

You may also request deletion of specific data by emailing us at contact@swapitinc.com. We respond to deletion requests within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your data (see Section 07).
• Object to or restrict certain processing.

SwapIt is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors, and we will delete any such account if discovered.

SwapIt is operated from the United States and welcomes users worldwide. By using the Platform, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. Material changes will be announced on the Platform.
